The Wilmington homeowner kept his cool when confronted with an intruder this week. It was on Wednesday morning, that Jody Johnson was awakened by his dog barking and police lights shinning into his house. He knew someone was in his house, so he got his gun, told his girlfriend to call 911 and called out to the person in his kitchen, who responded he wasn’t leaving.

Johnson shot a warning shot, making sure to hit the drywall in his home.

Johnson spoke to the Scott Slocum show and says he remembered all his training when taking the concealed gun training courses and knew what to do so police didn’t confuse him with bad guy.

Once the suspect left his house, he and girlfriend prayed for him.

Two 17-year-old teens were charged with hijacking and armed robbery.
